How we compared providers

We looked at providers that help Australian businesses hire full-time staff in the Philippines, and compared them on:

  • Model. Who hires the person: you (direct hire), an employer of record, or a managed agency.
  • Published pricing. Whether you can see the price before a sales call.
  • Ongoing cost. One-time fee or monthly charge.
  • Guarantee. What happens if the hire does not work out.

The ranking favours published, one-time pricing for buyers who are happy to hire and pay staff directly. If you would rather not be the employer, read the entries from Team Up Now down first.

You hire and pay the person directly, and Tarino is paid once: $250 to start the search and $4,750 when you hire, $5,000 excl. GST in total. There are no monthly fees. Tarino typically screens 1,000+ candidates per role and sends a shortlist of 3 to 4 finalists in about two weeks. More than 95% of placements are still in the role at 6 months, and the fee includes 6-month replacement cover. It suits businesses that want a long-term hire and are comfortable paying staff themselves.

2. Hunt St

Hunt St helps Australian businesses directly hire Filipino talent for a one-time fee, and you pay the talent directly. Its pricing page lists a flat A$5,000 plus GST: a $500 deposit to start and the balance on hire. A 6-month guarantee offers a replacement at no extra cost. Its home page says it sources 300+ applicants per role, delivers a shortlist of 3 to 4, and averages 18 days to hire. On price and guarantee it is the closest match to Tarino.

Questions, answered

What is the best offshore recruitment agency in Australia?

It depends on the model you want. If you want to hire and pay staff directly for a one-time fee, compare direct-hire recruiters such as Tarino, Hunt St and Oshore. If you want someone else to hire the person, compare an employer of record such as Team Up Now or a managed provider such as Staff Domain or Cloudstaff.

How much does offshore recruitment cost in Australia?

The direct-hire recruiters in this list publish one-time fees of about A$5,000. EOR and managed providers charge monthly, from A$300 per employee per month for Team Up Now's EOR fee to A$1,099 per person per month at Staff Domain, on their published rates.

What is the difference between a recruiter and a staffing agency?

A direct-hire recruiter finds the person and is paid once. You then engage and pay them yourself. A staffing agency or EOR hires the person and charges you every month.

Why is Tarino ranked first?
